Back from Europe

I got back from Europe July 18, 2010 after being gone 3 weeks. I didn't go there to paint but to help out at a Christian day camp in the South of France. Despite our busy schedule at the camp I was able to do a few sketches and start a few small paintings. The first painting Below is of Arles (Arl). Connie and I went there for the day. I started this sketch at the table we were sitting at and finished it when I got home. The second painting below is a sketch I did of the roof tops of Aix from the view outside our hotel window. The third sketch is the streets of Aix by our Hotel. I started this drawing at around 9:30 in the evening.

When we were in the UK I painted this "cottage" that was a short walk from my daughters house in Kempford, Engalnd. The final painting is of a pub in Kempford. I sat  on a wall and painted it early one morning. England is a beautiful country.
