Summer 2026

I have been interested in painting old wooden boats of Alaska. Below are two that I finished recently in 2026. The boats are visible from the road in Homer, Alaska.

This is a quick watercolor sketch I did in the Matanuska Valley, Alaska. It is of a morning sunset. I was quickly trying to capture the lighting intrigued me.

This is a sketch of a spring snowy scene here in Alaska. I liked the way the afternoon light was shining on the snow. It is of a gully on the side of a country road. We had a long winter this last year.
